Dehn sold his share in the hotel to Jay Pritzker just after a few years because he was eager to get out of the hotel business. Pritzker and Crouch remained partners until 1965, opening more airport hotels in west coast cities including San Francisco, Seattle, and San Jose. Crouch eventually stepped away from Hyatt to pursue different hotel ventures, while Pritzker and his younger brother continued to run Hyatt.
