The Hyatt Corporation

Hyatt is a national and international brand of hotels with over 700 locations in and around the United States. Affiliations that are owned and operated by this company include the Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Resorts, Hyatt Regency, and Hyatt Summerfield Suites and just recently in April 2007, it launched its newest global brand called Andaz. The Hyatt Headquarters, often referred to as the Hyatt Center, is located in downtown Chicago.

Hyatt, which is owned by Global Hyatt Corporation, operates in more than 44 countries. The company is also the owner of Hyatt Vacation Ownership, Inc. operator of the Hyatt Vacation Club and fractional residential properties and U.S. Franchise Systems, Inc, which franchises Hawthorn Suites and Microtel Inns and Suites.

The Hyatt Corporation was established at the purchase of the Hyatt House, the first hotel in the world built outside of an airport, on September 27, 1957. The Hyatt House was located in the Los Angeles International Airport. The owners were entrepreneurs, Hyatt von Dehn and Jack Crouch. Dehn sold his share in the hotel to Jay Pritzker just after a few years because he was eager to get out of the hotel business. Pritzker and Crouch remained partners until 1965, opening more airport hotels in west coast cities including San Francisco, Seattle, and San Jose. Crouch eventually stepped away from Hyatt to pursue different hotel ventures, while Pritzker and his younger brother continued to run Hyatt. Today, CEO Mark Hoplamazian continues to push Hyatt and the rest of the Global Hyatt Corporation to new heights, establishing more hotel and resort locations throughout the US and around the world.

The entire Hyatt brand owned locations from the Hyatt Regency to the Hyatt Summerfield Suites offers a wide range of services, activities and attractions in order to satisfy customers who are traveling for business or leisure purposes.

One of the services include the Hyatt Pure which are unique spas in which customers can relax and enjoy a place where indigenous influences and spa practices from around the world come together It delivers a calm surrounding and a relief from the everyday hustle.
