The Old Cairo area is important to see because of the history and beauty. If you have some time left over on the first day, you could visit Khan Khalili Bazaar. The shopping and monuments are nice to see and explore. It does stay open late, so it is a nice nighttime activity. Visiting all these attractions in one day is easy and not rushed.

You will see traders of every type, monuments and every day life of the locals. There are some footbridges that will take you closer to some of the attractions. Ask the hotel for a map of the Islamic Cairo before leaving. This map will have the bridges marked. You will see the Mosque of Al Muayyad in this area. Enter the right side door to see the inside.

The tent market is where you will find some incredible tapestries and materials for making other things. The crafters are skilled artisans that sell in the tent market every day.
