At most large trade shows, there are hundreds or even thousands of attendees wandering from booth to booth in search of interesting products and services. A great way to bring more attention to your booth is to use the attendees as your own personal sales force. Give incentives for referrals received from customers, and encourage your customers to spread the word about what is happening at your booth.

Generating this kind of interest can be a tricky process, but there are a few general rules you can follow that will make the process go more smoothly:

Be friendly.
Don't be pushy about your products and/or services, let them speak for themselves.
Aim to create genuine interest, not just a crowded booth space. Giving away hundreds of worthless promotional items is a great way to fill up your booth with disinterested attendees.

Ask for referrals. If a customer is pleased with your products and/or services, that customer will be more than willing to point others in your direction.
