The prevention methods recommended include:

- Compression stockings. These stockings are the key to prevention of varicose veins and spider veins. One must wear them regularly. - Do not cross your legs when sitting down.

- Exercise and walk. It is not only good for your legs but good for better health

- Try and maintain a normal weight. Obesity increases the chance of increasing varicose veins.
