2. Preparing for Your Blog. Once you are sure a blog fits your needs, it is time to start the process of creating your video blog. The first step in this process is to prepare everything you will need to get your blog started. Obviously you are going to need a computer with adequate resources. This means your computer will be able to handle the programs your blog will require. You will also need a high speed Internet connection. This is what allows you to post your blog to the Internet most efficiently. A video recording device of some kind is also necessary. This can be either a webcam or a digital camera. It doesn't matter which one you choose as long as you can upload the picture to the computer. Finally, you will need a video editing program such as iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.
