XPrint R300 Replacement Ink Cary NC

I love my Epson R300, as it delivers superb print quickly and tirelessly. What I don't care for is the cost of the original ink, the price of which can only be described as astronomical. As I'm not a designer that demands Pantone accurate colour, I've explored using replacement inks by other suppliers, with some success. These XPrint cartridges are a prime example of an acceptable alternative. Supplied by Devon based Refresh Systems, they are amazingly cheap, just £2.99 each including postage with no minimum order. When you consider that the cheapest real Epson are at least three times that amount just to buy them, anyone using lots of ink should at least give them a try. If you buy more than two then they get even cheaper, and they also have ink for other Epson models and other brands.

Other replacement ink I've used was ok, but it did use cheap dye based inks, which can fade or discolour over time. These, like the Epson originals, use pigmented ink to achieve the same light and water resistance.

I don't have the CSI crime lab to substantiate these claims, but the print results I achieved seem to support their view. The colour match to Epson's was one of the better I've seen, and with no excessive bleeding evident. Others might be more critical, but for the uses I have these are fine.

At this price anyone that uses one of these printers, or the other models XPrint support, should give these a chance. At the very least you should consider using the black ink, as these get used up more rapidly in my experience. If they don't suit your stringent demands then it's not a lot of money, and if they do it could save you a bundle!
