Description:
The program will reflect upon the Biblical roots of peace and nonviolence as exemplified in the life and teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. and those who witness to nonviolence today. Songs of peace and nonviolence will add to the inspiration of the day. Program leaders: Victoria Christgau, founder and director of the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence; Arthur Miller, deacon, author, radio host, and director of the Office for Black Catholic Ministries for the Archdiocese of Hartford; and Richard Tarlaian, Kingian Scholar and Senior Trainer for the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies at the University of Rhode Island and the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence.
